Welcome to SSZone
Bringing all zone news to the Subspace & Continuum community. Keeping everyone informed about whats happening when they need to know it!
If you have a related zone, squad, or development website, then please make sure we have your link.
Feel free to post news, add downloads, submit links, and keep everyone informed. Orginal Post from: Subpace.Net Continuum began as Sniper in 1995 and proceeded through 2 years of beta development as SubSpace and launched commercially on November 30, 1997. So in preparation of the glorious 10 year anniversary in 2007, we're looking for some fresh blood to revitalize the population and to bring some new school skills to battle against a decade of veteran spaceship mastery.

Digital Core Updates
I know that I have been slacking on work in DC, but I would like to inform everyone, that thanks to Blue T Hosting we now have new bot host. On that note, having bots, and finding a reliable host is a lot of hassle, I would really like to see DC go AS3. Using the HS Core would be ideal and with the proper coding, will turn DC itno a much better zone. I, myself cannot do this. Outside of HTML and small amounts of PHP, I don't know how to code. If you or anyone you know might be able to help this project come to life, please contact me ASAP, VIA IM or Email. IM's : AIM (dsz87) :: MSN ( dsz87@hotmail.com) :: Yahoo ( fstpatillac@yahoo.com) Email : fstpatillac@yahoo.com Also, as for leagues and events in DC. Everthing is all set up and ready to go. Just need a few squads and players. Signup availble in game, (once squads form). One more thing, We will be moving from the crappy subbil, to SST billing as soon as I can get it set up. Thanks again, - DC Staff.

New Development and Events for SSCI Devastation
The following two post were copied from the news.txt of SSCI Devastation. July 27th, 2008 Posted by: XDOOM
"I updated the map/tileset. Most of the bases are all old deva bases yet again, some
of my personal favourites.
The tileset has been updated - and this tileset will be used as the "norm" for all subarenas.
I will post this tileset, as well as wall tile patterns on the forums.
I am looking for a volunteer to update all other maps (except for a few race maps)"

"BIG news of a BIG event on the horizon: Devastation is having a squad paintball league! That's right, a squad-based PAINTBALL LEAGUE!!
After talking at great length with him about it, I have hired phillysevans as mod and bot op so he can properly coordinate and run the league. In addition, Gerardy (who was and is already a bot op in Deva) has agreed to help him organize it.
All the official rules and necessary information including the squad sign-up info and match dates can and will be found in this thread on our forums: http://www.ssforum.net/index.php?showtopic=21161
I urge all Devastation players, past and present, to get stoked for this league and support it. My squad, Obsidian, will be participating. Furthermore, it's time to get more new people than ever before interested in the zone we all know and love.
And..may the best squad win!"

Latest Out of SSCU Death Star Battle
The following two post were both found in the news.txt file of SSCU Death Star Battle.
"Hall of the Fame voting - 16.07.08
DSB League staff has launched a voting for the DSB League Hall of Fame! Vote your favorites and best players in to the hall of fame.
-Beer Hunter & Dakrn
LEGO wins DSBL10 - 15.06.08
Oh brother, what a League final series that was! Down two games, LEGO managed to claw their back to beat the mighty Red Hawks.
Both teams are a credit to that fighting spirit that has long pervaded DSB League.
Myself and League Staff would like to thank ALL teams that participated during League 10. Without you there would be no League. League is done for YOU, the players. Therefore your (constructive) opinions for the future of League are of vital importance as we move forward.
Finally, let me take a moment to thank those unsung heroes, the Rf's. Without their tireless efforts to ensure that League matches are played according to the rules, or their dedication to the zone none of this could take place. You have my personal thanks and I hope every single of you will stay on, and hopefully some new faces will be seen.
Congratulations again to LEGO and a job well done to Red Hawks. See you ALL next League!

ASSS Development in SSCI Devastation
Posted right in the news.txt of SSCI Devastation Please refer to the link to their website for futher information. "July 7th, 2008
ASSS Development Back In The Works
Hakaku has started off where Hallowed left off, and has begun finishing up the ASSS
development. If this project does finish, Devastation will move to the ASSS server, as
it provides more stability, and does not require a major bot component.
If you are interested in the development process, check out the ASSS subform in
Devastation's forums at deva.ssforum.net

DCME and LVZ
The following was posted at http://www.ssforum.net/ on Jun 23 2008, 07:28 PM by Samapico.
"If you right-click in the LVZ Library, and choose 'Add image', you'll get a new wizard-ish form to add images. You can create new definitions of images already in your lvzs, or can import a new image from a file, and it will create the image definition for you. It will also create the lvz file if you don't have any; or you can choose to put your image in a new lvz file anyway. You can also make it put the file in a different lvz than the definition.
You can test it... I mean, I was able to add a couple of images, but it's far from being stupid-proof... so if you make it do stupid things, it will do stupid things and probably crash
The 'Default settings' part of the form would be to set a default layer for that image"

Trench Wars
Found in the news.txt of SSCU Trench Wars.
"6/24/08 - New event: TWHalo (posted by Kim) !!UPDATE!!
The map is sending server errors, but we will try to fix that by the end of today. Sorry for the inconvenience. In the mean time, the event will be locked. Feel free to download the map though, because it is rather large...you wouldn't want to wait 5 minutes when the game is actually getting hosted!
Master chief comes to Trench Wars! The download is huge, so grab a drink after typing ?go TWHalo :)
Check out this new event and request for it to be hosted! Team deathmatch is the best choice."
